Guide for Authors

  • · Biannual Journal of “Language and Culture of Nations” invites all scholars and researchers in seminaries and universities to submit their research papers through electronic portal of the journal at: lcn.journals.miu.ac.ir with special attention to the following points.
  • · Every research article in which scientific and academic requirement are observed and falls within the subject of the journal in the realm of nations’ language and culture is reviewed, refereed, and likely published in this journal.  
  • · Submitted articles by the author(s) should contain innovative views and not have already been published in another journal or conference. Dear author(s) should submit their translated manuscript along with their main manuscript.
  • · The editorial board is free to accept or reject, and also revise manuscripts.
  • · The date priority for manuscripts’ publication is reviewed and confirmed by the editorial board.
  • · Author(s) are fully responsible for the accuracy of their manuscript’s content.
  • · Biannual Journal of “Language and Culture of Nations” reserves exclusive right for the publication of the articles after giving acceptance to the author(s), and author(s)are not allowed to publish their manuscripts elsewhere.
  • · Full body of the manuscript should include abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, discussion, analysis, and conclusion.
  • · Orthography and punctuation of the manuscripts should be with adherence to the latest style of Academy of Persian Language and Literature.
  • · Manuscripts should be typed in "Microsoft Word Document", Font "Times New Roman"/12 and uploaded via the online submission system of the journal.
  • · Dear authors note that the submitted manuscript should not contain the author(s)’ name. Full name of the author(s) in order, academic ranking, affiliation, telephone No., postal address, and email address should be typed in a separate Word file and uploaded via the online submission system of the journal.
  • · Abstract (including 200-250 words) should be written in both Persian and English along with 5-7 keywords. It should contain main elements of the study including statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research method, and a short statement of the results.
  • · Journal refuses to accept manuscripts which is less than 4000 words or exceed 8000 words  in lenth.
  • · English equivalent for foreign terms and names as well as archaic words should be mentioned next to them.
  • · Referential footnotes are placed in the manuscript’s index after conclusion.
  • · For in-text citation, rather than bringing the references in footnote they should be mentioned after every direct or indirect quotation as follows: (Motahhari, 1368, Vol. 1:25)/ (Surname, Year of publication, Vol.: Page No.)
  • · References at the end of the article are sorted alphabetically based on the initial letter of the authors’ surnames as follows:

Book: Surname, First name. (Year of publication). Title of book in Italics, Translator/Editor. Ordinal edition Number for Publication. Place of Publication: Publisher.

Example: Zarrinkoob, Abd ol-Hossein. (1353 SH). The Value of Sufism Heritage (Arzesh-e Miras-e Sufieh). 2nd ed. Tehran: Amir Kabir.

Journals: Surname, First name. (Year of Publication). “Title of the Article”. Journal name in Italic. Vol. Issue. pp.

Example: Payandeh, Hossein. (1386 SH). “What is Postmodern Novel?”. Annual Journal of Literary Research. Vol. 1 Issue 2. pp. 11-47.
