Rituals and ceremonies can be considered fundamental elements of any religion, through which individuals seek to connect with the sacred. Understanding rituals and analyzing their role and function, especially in individual and collective dimensions, is among the topics that have attracted the attention of sociologists and anthropologists of religion. Meanwhile, thinkers of different religions, with their interpretive approaches and relying on empirical observations, have offered analyses of rituals that mark a turning point in religious anthropology. On the one hand, rituals create a space that stabilizes religious beliefs and strengthens social cohesion, and on the other hand, they provide conditions for individual transformation and the experience of sacred moments. The results showed that despite the rise and fall of various civilizations, religion has always played a central and influential role in the formation, growth, and flourishing of civilizations. The analysis of the history of religions and the lives of divine prophets in the Holy Quran also emphasizes that religion guides humanity towards the creation of a cohesive, organized society free from dispersion and chaos, and by offering a transcendent rationality, it leads humanity on the path to achieving happiness and prosperity. Therefore, considering the religious roots of civilization, we realize that in great civilizations, social activities, political, economic, ethical, intellectual, and philosophical experiences originate from a religious perspective and orientation. For Islamic society as well, achieving civilization will rely on returning to and adhering to Islamic teachings.
